Portrait sessions are important for everyone. We’re not getting any younger. Our children are not going to stay this age forever. But a portrait is of course different. Capture that personality for all time and for every future generation to enjoy. I don’t specialize in everything. I specialize in weddings. However, my abilities may be applied to portraits “outside the chapel”.

Sean Rolsen Photograph’s portrait sessions are very different from your typical portrait session. I insist on meeting my clients ahead of time. Not to ‘get to know them’, or ‘find their good side’. I learned a great lesson from Jesh De Rox:
I look for the inner beauty that can be found if the time and care is taken to do so. When I get an essence of what I believe makes my subject beautiful, interesting, or compelling, I am able to hone in on it and photograph it. This allows me to do more than just wait for your personality to come out. I know what I am looking for in my subjects.

I am happy to photograph my subjects indoors, outdoor, in their homes, their places of work, etc. I do not limit the number of wardrobe changes, locations, poses, images, etc. I only work on a much less confusing time schedule.
